I am planning on taking my mother shopping for Christmas so I was going to create a gift certificate and say something like this is a $ 200 gift certificate to go shopping with your daughter...something along those lines, I don't just want to give her money b/c she will spend it on bills or something that's not related to her and she hasn't been shopping for herself in a long time. So anyone have any ideas how I should create this gift certificate or how exactly I should word it?

You can make it a gift certificate saying "Mom thanks for all your hard work and so for Christmas I present to you a gift certificate to spend the day with me to go shopping with the amount of $ 200."

Make it as though she has won a shopping spree, with of course a budget of $ 200…
You could make an envelope with “you’re a winner” on the front, etc, etc, get really creative with it. If you could get your hands on one of those publisher’s clearing house things, that would be neat!
