Question by Olivia!: Clever way to present a gift certificate?
Hello all! I purchased a glass blowing class appointment for my best friend's birthday. The company didn't send any kind of certificate or anything for it...so I don't have anything to show for it. So I'm looking for a creative way to give it to her on her birthday.

The best thing I've come up with is to create a homemade gift certificate for the class and place it inside a glass bottle and wrap up the bottle.

Any suggestions?

That is a good idea, but you could even go one step further and kind of "trick her".
My favorite one too do for stuff like this is what you said, make a homemade certificate, but you can put it in a glass bottle, warp it with kraft paper, and then put the bottle in a really big box with paper or packing peanuts. She will have no idea what you got her, and be even more confused when she picks up such a huge box that weighs so little, thus building up the excitement.

Also, is this an appointment you two are doing together? If so, you can make a "scavenger hunt" around the area the place is at, with clues about where her "present is" the day of, and when she eventually gets to the clue and gets to the location, you surprise her when you are standing outside! (just don't make it too long a "hunt" or this can backfire into annoyance") It sounds kind of corny, but it'll bring both of you amusement I'm sure. ( I would like to add you can do this over text as well, sending each clue through text, and she texts back when she "gets to that part")
